A Geometrical Theory of Adaptation
by Carson Reynolds
A geometrical theory of adaptation is the “publication quality” paper I prepared for the last bit of my general exams. A lot of the insights in the paper were new for me, but I’m sure anyone who understands topology and has read Holland’s Adapation in Natural and Artifical Systems would probably think the same thoughts. I’d like to read some more recent issues of adaptive behavior and see if I can recast the argument in a way that might interest that community.
