Every now and then when I take some mp3s from many albums and randomize them, two songs blend with one another in unexpectedly nice ways. Today the tracks happened to be Glenn Gould’s rendition of Bach’s Goldberg Variation 7 and Neutral Milk Hotel’s Holland, 1945. Maybe some day I will randomly walk down the road to an excellent set. Improbable . . . but we can always cross our fingers and hope.
